Place the Duetto on a lift and check the floors, both under and from the interior. Lift the rubber mats.
Rear wheel panels, especially the lower rear section which are exposed to blasting.
The boot lid. The rear part is vulnerable if the ventilation holes are not covered with plugs. The rear section is still avaliable at most vendors.
The carbs and the mounts. Rough idle is often due to defective rubber mounts between carbs and intake.
The Hardy rubber or dough-nut and the U-joints. If it feels like a rubber hammer when taking of it is the rubber support. If the sound is like a hammer on stee, it is likely to be the U-joints.
Gearbox and syncro rings. The 2nd gear is often bad. New material in syncro rings will last a life time.
