Alta - E6 north of Narwik we go 20 km east over the mountains back to Sweden. There is a very nice hostel at Katterjokk plus a good store and a cool restaurant, Ebbe's Kök.  The roads are very deserted and quite good. The distance from E6 to Katterjokk is only 27 km, and you will save a lot of money staying there. Plus the beautiful view.
