Boom. I was crossing the street using the Zebra lines, pedestrian zone. Suddenly, a car hit me right in the middle of the road as I was walking. Hospital, ankle broken, three fractures. Terrible. Hospital, ambulance to Linate, Milano. Spider in garage at Hotel al Pescador, Lazise, Garda. | In good care. My insurance company brought my Gina back. It was such a relief to see her again after four weeks. | After two weeks and one operation I got home in a wheel-chair. Spider was brought back in good company, thanks to Länsförsäkringar. The Dino Ferrari looked good on the lorry. |
Foot in
package. Crutches and wheel-chair and summer. Terrible.
Two more operations followed. Puh. |
So, it's good to have friends. Here. Kenneth is assisting in the garage. He was on crutches too for a week. | Nothing could stop us, we spent many hours in the garage. Always something to tamper with when you have an Alfa Romeo, hehe. |
After a month or so, I was able to drive the Spider again. Had my foot in the perfect angle and fixed. | Here's Kenneth and his Duetto 1967 on the way to Denmark. We drove together, even though my ankle was still in a package. | Alfa-friends in Denmark. |
Meeting the Danish Alfaklub. | Another tour in the autumn, we drove to Falster for a few days. | This is Gavnö Castle, Denmark. Very lovely tour. |
East part of southern Sweden, October. | A very nice Café, Önneköp. I go there very often. | And then, snow and cold winter. My Spider is resting in the garage, dreaming of the next summer. |
Thanks a million to the DCI, DuettoClub Italia and all my friends there www.duettoclub.it |
